I graduated from the University of Keele, Staffordshire in the June of 2011, from which I immediately started work within the mining industry. I gained a position as an Exploration Geologist working in mineral exploration for a large international company, primarily in Central and North America. I held this position for three years before deciding to return to the UK in 2014. I started with GeoCon Site Investigations Ltd in August of 2014 as a Junior Engineering Geologist. This has opened me up to a new aspect of geology, developing my engineering knowledge and skills greatly within this field. It has been a particularly enriching experience as I am continually learning from my peers and the experience I gain from real world situations. I am thoroughly enjoying the new challenge.
