GeoCon provide site investigation services for a major off shore wind farm just off the coast of Abergele, North Wales. GeoCon have been subcontracted by Fugro Engineering Services Ltd (FES) to manage the site investigation of the proposed cable route which will run on shore from Abergele inland to St Asaph where a major substation will be built. This projectif part of RWE NPowers continued efforts to generate renewable electricity via off shore wind farm. The site investigation involves cable percussion boreholes, trial pitting, window sampling and CPT’s along the cable route
