GeoCon undertake geothermal desk studies (sometimes known as geothermal feasibility reports) for clients who are looking into the viability of ground source heat pump systems.
We provide details on the geology, mining activity, hydrogeology, groundwater flow patterns, groundwater levels, details of local water abstractions, approximate yields and the thermal properties of the underlying geology to give a complete geothermal desk study to allow the client to select the appropirate option whether that be an open or closed loop vertical system, or a horizontal system using either slinkies or horizontal ground loops.
The information contained in the geothermal desk study will also facilitate the design of any subsequent borehole field for the proposed sytem.
