Site Investigation Remediation and Validation

Some sites may require remediation based on the results of the Phase 2 site investigation risk assessment conclusions and recommendations. If remediation is required we can assist with the design of any remediation strategy and with subsequent validation to provide proof to any regulator that the works have been carried out in accordance with the remedial strategy.
Geotechnical remediation may also be required which can include drilling and grouting of voids; mine shaft lining and capping; and engineered sub grades and proof rolling. Depending on the results of the phase 1 desk study and phase 2 intrusive site investigation.

GeoCon supervise the remediation of sites as a visual witness to the removal of contaminated soils, with subsequent sampling and analysis.  Details are then reported to the client along with photographic evidence to support.  Common remediation options are:

  • Dig and Dump
  • Cover Systems

An alternative form of remediation used on more complicated sites is:

  • Bio Remediation

We offer a service where we recommend the various options available to a client and are happy to assist with procurement of these services.
