GeoCon undertake their first site investigation as environmental consultants at St Marys Substation at the MRI in Manchester. The job involved the successful Phase I desk study and Phase II site investigation including a radiological assessment of an existing radiological disposal unit for the new build St Mary Sustation designed to power new hospital buildings. A successful contamination assessment and geotechnical review allowed our client to gain planning permission and design their foundations accordingly.
